A total of 205 apprenticeship seats are on offer across various airports in the Northern Region for a one-year training program. Eligible candidates who are domiciles of the specified Northern Region states/UTs can apply online through the respective government apprenticeship portals.

AAI NR Apprentice Recruitment 2026-27 Educational Qualification
- Graduate/Diploma Apprentices: Candidates must possess a full-time (Regular) 4-year Degree or 3-year (Regular) Diploma in Engineering in the relevant stream, recognized by AICTE, Government of India.
- ITI Trade Apprentices: Candidates must possess an ITI/NCVT certificate in the relevant trade (COPA/Stenography or Computer Hardware & Networking) from an institution recognized by AICTE, Government of India.
- Candidates who have passed their degree/diploma in 2024 or after 2024 are eligible.
Age Limit
As on 16.09.2026, candidates must be:
- Minimum age: 18 years
- Maximum age: 26 years
Relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD and other categories as per Government of India guidelines.
Selection Process
- Provisional Selection: Based on the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination. In case of a tie, date of birth and thereafter date of passing will determine seniority.
- CGPA Conversion: CGPA will be converted to a percentage as per the norms of the concerned Educational Board/University.
- Document Verification: Eligible candidates will be called for document verification at the establishment office, intimated only through their registered email IDs.
- Interview/Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called for Interview/Document Verification; final selection is based on this verification along with submission of a Medical Fitness Certificate at the time of joining.
- Posting: Selected candidates will preferably be posted at locations based on their registration preference on the portal.
- Merely attending document verification or the medical examination does not guarantee selection.
- After document verification and obtaining the medical fitness certificate, candidates will be selected for training based on merit, and an apprentice engagement letter will be issued.
How to Apply for AAI NR Apprentice Recruitment 2026-27
Applications must be submitted online through the respective government portals — no other mode of correspondence will be entertained.
- Graduate/Diploma Apprentices: Apply via www.nats.education.gov.in
- ITI Trade Apprentices: Apply via www.apprenticeshipindia.org
Step 1: Register yourself on the concerned portal (NATS/NAPS) before applying — this is mandatory.
Step 2: Search for the establishment “Airports Authority of India – RHQ NR, New Delhi” using the establishment code NDLSWC000002 (BOAT) for NATS or E05200700101 (NAPS) for the ITI portal.
Step 3: Click the “Apply” button on the establishment’s page. On successful application, the portal will display: “Successfully applied for the training position. Based on availability, you will be contacted by the establishment.”
Note: Candidates applying for more than one discipline will not be considered, and their application will be rejected. No application fee is charged.
NATS 2.0 Portal Registration Highlights (Graduate/Diploma)
- Requires a valid personal email ID, mobile number, Aadhaar number (for e-KYC), qualifying degree/provisional certificate (PDF, under 1MB), and an APAAR ID.
- e-KYC is done via UIDAI Aadhaar authentication; academic documents can be fetched directly from DigiLocker via APAAR integration.
- Registration involves: Basic Registration → Mobile/Email OTP Verification → Aadhaar e-KYC → Student Registration Form → Email Verification → Login → Profile completion (Basic Details, Educational Details, Communication Details, Training Preferences) → Preview & Final Submit.
- Candidates without an APAAR ID can create one via the ABC portal.
Apprenticeship India Portal (NAPS) Highlights (ITI Trade)
- Candidates must register with Basic, Family, and Contact details, then activate their account via the email link sent to them.
- After profile completion, candidates can search and apply to apprenticeship opportunities, view invitations from establishments, track application status, and sign or reject offered contracts.
