Visva-Bharati Faculty Selection Process 2026
The selection process for Visva-Bharati Faculty Recruitment 2026 is based on shortlisting and interview.
Shortlisting
Candidates will be shortlisted for interview (up to a 1:15 ratio) strictly on the basis of the Academic/Research score as per Appendix II, Tables 2 and 3A of the UGC Regulations, 2018.
Interview
Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. Candidates staying abroad may attend through Skype or another audio-visual link, as permitted by the university.
Final Selection
For Assistant Professor posts, the academic score is used only for shortlisting, and the final selection is based only on performance in the interview. Selected candidates will also have to go through police verification.
Visva-Bharati Faculty Salary
Candidates selected through Visva-Bharati Faculty Recruitment 2026 will be placed in the 7th CPC Academic Pay Matrix. Professors will get Academic Level 14 with an entry pay of ₹1,44,200, Associate Professors Level 13A with an entry pay of ₹1,31,400, and Assistant Professors Level 10 with an entry pay of ₹57,700. Appointees will be governed by the National Pension System (NPS) unless they are permitted under the university’s GPF-cum-Gratuity Scheme as per Government of India/UGC rules.
