PwBD Reservation

Five posts are reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) on a horizontal basis:

  • Section Officer: 1 of the 4 posts.
  • Senior Assistant: 1 of the 6 posts.
  • Junior Assistant / Junior Assistant cum Caretaker: 3 of the 40 posts (1 each for OH, VH and HH).

Only candidates with at least 40% of the relevant disability qualify for PwBD benefits. Suitable disability categories follow the Gazette of India notification dated 07.01.2021 and DoPT OM dated 15.01.2018.

Candidates must hold the essential qualifications as on the closing date of applications. Working knowledge of computer applications and good communication skills are mandatory for every post.

Junior Assistant / Junior Assistant cum Caretaker (40 posts)

  • 10+2 or equivalent from a recognised Board.
  • Computer typing speed of 35 wpm in English or 30 wpm in Hindi.
  • Junior Assistant cum Caretaker additionally needs an ITI Trade Certificate in Civil/Plumbing.
  • Desirable: 2 years’ relevant experience in a university, institution of higher learning, government department or reputed private organisation.

Section Officer (4 posts)

  • Post Graduate Degree with 50% marks and 3 years’ experience at Senior Assistant level (PB-2 + GP 4200), or
  • Graduate with 50% marks and 5 years’ experience at the same level.
  • Experience can be from universities, higher education institutions, government departments or a reputed private organisation.
  • Desirable: PG/Graduate in Commerce, Inter CA/ICWAI, MBA/BBA (Finance) for Finance & Accounts; English shorthand for Secretarial Assistant.

Senior Assistant (6 posts)

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years’ relevant experience at Level-4 (7th CPC) / GP 2400 (6th CPC) in government, university, PSU, autonomous body or a reputed private organisation.
  • Desirable (Finance & Accounts): Commerce graduate/PG, Inter CA/ICWAI or BBA/MBA (Finance) with 50% marks, plus 5 years’ relevant experience.
  • Desirable (Secretarial Services): Graduate/PG with 50% marks, 3 years managing a senior functionary’s office, and English shorthand.

Staff Nurse (2 posts)

  • B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing from a recognised university or institute.
  • Registered as RN or RN & RM with the Indian Nursing Council and its affiliated State Nursing Council.
  • 6 months’ experience in a hospital of at least 50 beds after qualifying.

Sports Coach – Female (1 post)

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Education.
  • Diploma in Sports Coaching or equivalent.
  • Desirable: coaching competence in at least 2 games at National/International level, and 2 years’ coaching experience.

Junior Library Assistant (1 post)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science / Library & Information Science.
  • Knowledge of computer applications.
  • Typing speed of 35 wpm English or 30 wpm Hindi.
  • Desirable: 2 years’ experience in a reputed library and knowledge of library software.

Internal Audit Officer – Deputation (1 post)

  • Officers from government departments, institutions, autonomous bodies or PSUs with Finance/Accounts/Audit experience.
  • Holding an analogous Level-12 post, or Level-11 with 3 years’ service, or Level-10 with 5 years’ service.

System Administrator (IT) – Deputation (1 post)

  • Officers from Central/State Government, universities, R&D institutions, autonomous bodies or PSUs holding an analogous post, or with 5 years’ regular service at Level 7/8/9 in the relevant field.
  • PG in Computer Science/IT, B.Tech or MCA with 55% marks, plus certification from Microsoft, Oracle, Cisco, Sun or Red Hat.
  • 5 years’ experience managing networks and installing packages.
  • Desirable: experience with Microsoft IIS, Linux-Apache, Intrusion Protection Systems and ERP implementation in higher education.

Selection Process

Selection is through a test and/or interview for shortlisted candidates only. The stages are:

Key Conditions and Deputation Terms

Deputation candidates must bring an NOC, Vigilance Clearance Certificate and attested ACRs/APARs for the preceding 5 years to the interview.

  • Deputation terms follow DoPT OM No. 6/8/2009-Estt. (Pay II) dated 17.06.2010; the initial period is 1 year, extendable on performance.
  • Departmental candidates in the feeder cadre and direct line of promotion cannot apply on deputation.
