Age Limit

Candidates must have attained 18 years of age as on 1 January 2027 and must not have crossed 40 years of age. Age relaxation is admissible as per government rules:

• 5 years relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS male candidates (Rajasthan domicile) and General category women candidates
• 10 years relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS women candidates (Rajasthan domicile)
• Additional relaxations for Ex-servicemen, persons with disabilities, widows and divorced women as per applicable rules

Rajasthan RSSB JEN Educational Qualification

Junior Engineer (Civil) – Degree holder: A Degree in Civil Engineering from a University/Institution recognized by law in India, or an equivalent qualification declared by the Government, along with a working knowledge of Hindi written in Devanagari script and knowledge of Rajasthani culture.

Junior Engineer (Civil) – Diploma holder: A Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution, or a Diploma recognized by the Institute of Engineers for the purpose of exemption from associate membership examination, along with a working knowledge of Hindi written in Devanagari script and knowledge of Rajasthani culture.

Junior Engineer (Mechanical/Electrical) – Diploma holder: A Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution, or an equivalent Diploma recognized by the Institute of Engineers, along with a working knowledge of Hindi written in Devanagari script and knowledge of Rajasthani culture.

Reservation

Out of the notified vacancies, reservation is applicable for SC, ST, OBC, MBC, and EWS categories as per Rajasthan Government norms, along with horizontal reservation for women (30%), Ex-servicemen (12.5%), Persons with Disabilities (varies by department), and outstanding sportspersons (2%), as detailed in the official advertisement.

Pay Scale

Selected Junior Engineers will draw pay as per Pay Matrix Level-10 of the 7th Pay Commission. During the two-year probation period, a fixed monthly remuneration (as notified by the State Government from time to time) will be paid, without any additional allowances such as HRA, DA, or special pay. Regular pay scale and allowances become applicable upon successful completion of probation.
