RRC NWR Apprentice Eligibility 2026
To be eligible for the NWR Railway Apprentice 2026, you need a Class 10 pass with at least 50% marks, an ITI certificate in the notified trade, and an age of 15 to 24 years on 6 November 2026.
Educational qualification
- Class 10 (matriculation) or equivalent from a recognised board, with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. Marks are not rounded off.
- National Trade Certificate (ITI) in the notified trade, issued by NCVT or SCVT.
- Candidates still waiting for final exam results should not apply.

To claim reservation, SC, ST, OBC and EWS candidates must show certificates in the Central Government format at document verification. The OBC non-creamy layer certificate must be issued on or after 1 April 2026.

The RRC Jaipur Apprentice application fee is Rs. 100. SC, ST, PwBD and women candidates do not pay any fee.

RRC NWR Apprentice Selection Process and Merit List
The RRC NWR Apprentice merit list is the simple average of your Class 10 percentage and your ITI percentage. There is no written test or interview.
For example, a candidate with 72% in Class 10 and 84% in ITI gets a merit score of 78.
- Merit list: the 10th percentage counts marks in all subjects, and the ITI percentage is taken from the provisional or final certificate.
- Tie-break: if two candidates have equal marks, the older candidate ranks higher. If birth dates also match, the one who passed Class 10 earlier ranks higher.
- Unit-wise list: separate merit lists are made for each unit, trade and category. There is no single common merit list.
- Document verification: shortlisted candidates bring their original certificates to the unit they chose.
- Medical examination: candidates submit a medical fitness certificate (Annexure-IV) signed by a government doctor not below the rank of Assistant Surgeon.

Apply for the NWR Apprentice online form 2026 only through www.rrcjaipur.in between 7 October and 6 November 2026. Each candidate can submit only one application.
- Visit www.rrcjaipur.in and open the Act Apprentice 2026 link.
- Register using your 12-digit Aadhaar number, an active mobile number and a valid email ID. Note down the registration number.
- Fill in your personal and educational details. Your name, father’s name and date of birth must match your Class 10 certificate exactly.
- Choose one division or unit that has slots for your ITI trade.
- Upload your photograph and signature.
- Check all details, then pay the fee. No edits are allowed after payment.
- Download and print the application form. You will need it at document verification.

RRC NWR Apprentice Stipend, Training and Medical Standards
The NWR Apprentice stipend and training period follow Railway Board rules in force at the time; the notification does not give a fixed amount.
- No hostel is provided, so apprentices must arrange their own stay during training.
- Before training starts, the candidate (or the guardian of a minor) signs a Contract of Apprenticeship with the railway.
- Completing the apprenticeship does not guarantee a railway job. The railway is not required to offer employment, and the apprentice is not required to accept one.
- No TA or DA is paid for attending document verification.
