- All applicants pay Rs. 500/- initially.
- Fee-exempted categories (Female/SC/ST/PWBD/Ex-Servicemen) get a full refund.
- Other candidates get Rs. 400/- refunded, after LPSC retains Rs. 100/-.
Refunds are processed online only for candidates who appear for the written test, based on the bank details furnished at the time of application. Bank transaction/user charges, if any, are to be borne by the candidate.

ISRO LPSC Selection Process
For Post Nos. 813, 814, 815, 816 & 817 (Technical Assistant / Technician / Draughtsman)
- Written Test: 90 minutes, 80 multiple-choice questions (1 mark each), with 0.33 negative marking per wrong answer. Syllabus is curriculum-based, testing theoretical and practical knowledge.
- Skill Test: Candidates shortlisted in a 1:5 ratio (minimum 10 candidates) based on written test performance. The skill test is purely ‘Go/No-Go’ — marks are not counted for final selection.
- Final Selection: Purely based on written test scores among candidates who qualify the skill test. In case of a tie, academic marks of the notified qualification are the tie-breaker.

For Post No. 802 (Fireman ‘A’)
- Preliminary Medical Examination (PME) Certificate must be submitted along with the application, issued by a Registered Medical Practitioner not below the rank of Assistant Civil Surgeon (Allopathy) in Government Health Services.
- Written Test: 120 minutes, 80 multiple-choice questions (1 mark each), with 0.25 negative marking per wrong answer. Syllabus covers basic chemistry (flammable liquids/gases), LPG properties, pressure-volume-temperature relations, mensuration (areas/volumes), properties of CO2/O2/H2/inert gases, basic electricity and hazards, properties of water, and general knowledge.
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Candidates meeting PME norms are shortlisted in up to 1:50 ratio based on vacancies. PET is conducted in two stages (Stage-1 and Stage-2), purely on a ‘Go/No-Go’ basis.
- Detailed Medical Examination (DME): Candidates who qualify both PET stages undergo DME. Only one chance is given for DME.
- Final Selection Panel: Drawn in order of written test marks, from among candidates who qualify DME.
The Written Test and Skill Test for all posts will be conducted only at suitable venues in Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala).
