RCFL Apprentice Eligibility Criteria 2026-27

  • The prescribed qualification must be from a recognized University/Institute, obtained through a regular full-time course; qualifications via Distance Learning, Part-Time or Correspondence mode are not eligible.
  • Allied branches of Diploma in Engineering are not acceptable.
  • Candidates who have already completed Act Apprentice training, have one year or more of job experience, or are currently pursuing higher studies are not eligible.
  • The date of passing the final qualifying examination must be on or after July 1, 2023.
  • The minimum percentage required should be based on the final year results or the aggregate of the last two semesters.
  • Candidates with B.Sc. (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) with Chemistry as the major subject are eligible only for Attendant Operator (Chemical Plant) and Laboratory Assistant (Chemical Plant) trades.
  • Candidates with B.Sc. (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) with Physics as the major subject are eligible only for the Instrument Mechanic (Chemical Plant) trade.
  • Candidates with a Biology-based graduation degree (only Zoology or only Botany) may apply as Graduate Apprentices under Secretarial Assistant or Recruitment Executive (HR).
  • Candidates may apply without a passing certificate in hand, but the original passing certificate is mandatory at the time of document verification, failing which the candidature will be cancelled.

RCFL Apprentice Stipend 2026-27

The stipend is payable as per the notification issued by the Board of Apprenticeship Training (Western Region), Mumbai, and is disbursed partly by RCF Ltd. and partly by BOAT directly to Act Apprentices.

Apprentices are also provided morning breakfast, tea, and a vegetarian lunch thali at the company canteen, along with OPD medical facilities at the RCF Hospital (for the trainee only). No transportation facility or reimbursement is provided.

RCFL Apprentice Selection Process 2026-27

  1. A merit list is prepared based on the percentage of marks in the prescribed qualification, along with applicable reservation.
  2. Shortlisted candidates from the merit list are called for Document Verification.
  3. Candidates are appointed as Apprentice Trainees only after successful document verification and approval of the Apprenticeship Contract on the NATS/NAPS portal.
  4. In case of a tie in marks, the candidate with a higher qualification is ranked higher; if the qualification is the same, the candidate with higher marks in the preceding qualification is preferred.

  • Trade Apprentices (NAPS): Must register at apprenticeshipindia.gov.in
  • Technician/Diploma & Graduate Apprentices: Must register as a student at nats.education.gov.in
