MECL Non-Executive Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
Selection for the Non-Executive posts will be carried out in the following stages, all conducted at Nagpur:
Screening of Applications
A Screening Committee will segregate applications into “Eligible” and “Not Eligible” based on the information provided by candidates in the online application.
Written Test (100% Weightage)
Shortlisted candidates will appear for a Written Test conducted by an independent external agency notified as a “Public Examination Authority”. Cut-off marks are:

Document Verification
Candidates clearing the Written Test will be called for Document Verification, ordinarily in the ratio of 1:7 (seven candidates per vacancy) as per merit.
Skill Test/Trade Test (Qualifying in Nature)
Candidates clearing Document Verification will undergo a Skill/Trade Test conducted by an Internal Committee, which will categorize them as “Suitable” or “Not Suitable”. This test is qualifying in nature only, and the Final Merit List will be drawn based on Written Test marks of the “Suitable” candidates.
Note: The minimum qualifying marks in the essential educational qualification for all posts is 45% (a pass is sufficient for qualifications like Intermediate CA/ICWA).
