Bengaluru South District Civil Labour Age Limit and Eligibility

Age Limit: The minimum age required is 18 years and the maximum age limit is 50 years, as on the date of publication of this public notice. Candidates must not have completed the age of 50 years and must not be below 18 years of age.

Educational Qualification: No formal educational qualification is prescribed for these posts; however, candidates must be able to speak the Kannada language.

Eligibility Criteria:

• The applicant must be an Indian citizen.
• Preference will be given to candidates who have been working on a daily-wage/outsourced basis as Loaders/Outsourced Helpers, Cleaners, and Helpers in the concerned Nagarasabhe for at least one continuous year.
• One eligible family member of a Pourakarmika working in Bengaluru South District Nagarasabhes on a daily-wage/outsourced basis who died due to COVID-19 or other causes while on duty will be considered for appointment under a special category.
• Preference will also be given to candidates already working as Loaders/Outsourced Helpers, Cleaners, Helpers, and workers in solid waste processing units, public toilets, and dry waste collection units for at least one year, based on local body experience.
• The candidate (male/female) must not be recognized as a Manual Scavenger under the Manual Scavengers (Prohibition) Act, nor should any family member be so recognized.
• Candidates must be able to speak Kannada and must submit a self-declaration regarding Kannada language knowledge.
• Only residents of the concerned Nagarasabhe area presently performing the relevant duties are eligible to apply for appointment.

Reservation: As the appointment is on a contract basis, the Karnataka Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes (Reservation in Appointment) Act does not apply, and consequently, no reservation applies to the recruitment process.
