KEA Horticulture Recruitment 2026: The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA), Bengaluru, has officially released two notifications dated August 04, 2026, for filling up vacant Group-B posts in the Horticulture Department of the Government of Karnataka. Notification No. ಇಡಿ/ಕೆಇಎ/32/ನೇ.ವಿ/2026 (ಆರ್ ಪಿಸಿ) covers the regular cadre with 80 posts of Assistant Horticulture Officer and Assistant Horticulture Director, while Notification No. ಇಡಿ/ಕೆಇಎ/33/ನೇ.ವಿ/2026 (ಕೆ.ಕೆ) covers 5 posts of Assistant Horticulture Director reserved for the Kalyana-Karnataka cadre. Together, the two notifications cover a total of 85 posts. Online applications commence on August 05, 2026, and the last date to apply online is August 30, 2026.

Age Limit: The minimum age required is 18 years as on the closing date of application. The maximum age limit is 40 years for General Merit candidates, 43 years for Category 2A/2B/3A/3B candidates, and 45 years for SC/ST/Category-1 candidates. Age relaxation is applicable for Ex-Servicemen, Home Guards, Government/Semi-Government employees, widows, and other eligible categories as per rules.

The selection process for KEA Horticulture Recruitment 2026 includes the following stages:

Online Registration and Application

Kannada Language Test (qualifying in nature for those who have not studied Kannada as first/second language up to SSLC or above, or cleared an equivalent Kannada test)

Competitive Written Examination, conducted in Online (CBT) or Offline-OMR mode, comprising:

• Paper-1: General Knowledge (100 Questions, 300 Marks, 2 Hours)
• Paper-2: Post-Specific Paper (100 Questions, 300 Marks, 2 Hours)

Candidates must secure a minimum of 35% marks in the competitive examination to qualify. The examination carries negative marking of 0.25 marks (one-fourth) for each wrong answer.
