IISER Kolkata Non Teaching Age Limit 2026
The upper age limit is as per RCPP-2023 and differs by post, ranging from 30 years (Jr. Assistant) to 40 years (Counsellor). Age relaxation applies as per Government of India norms. SC/ST/OBC candidates get age relaxation only when applying against vacancies reserved for their category, not for unreserved posts. There is no upper age limit for the Institute’s own employees (regular, contractual or outsourced), provided at least one year of service remains before superannuation.

The application process has two parts: an online application followed by a hard copy sent by post.
Step 1 – Visit the application portal at https://iiserkolnt.samarth.edu.in/index.php/site/login.
Step 2 – Register with an active mobile number and email ID, since all call letters and admit cards will be sent by email.
Step 3 – Fill in the online application form with accurate personal, educational and experience details.
Step 4 – Upload the required documents, including category certificates (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS) and the 7th CPC pay equivalency certificate if you are in an IDA/CDA pay scale.
Step 5 – Pay the application fee online and submit the form before 19th October 2026, 5:30 PM.
Step 6 – Download the PDF of the submitted application form and take a printout.

What is the IISER Kolkata Selection Process 2026?
The selection process consists of three stages.
Stage 1 – Shortlisting of Applications: An Institute-level Scrutiny Committee will screen the online applications. If a large number of applications are received, the Committee may adopt additional criteria based on desirable qualifications and relevant experience to limit the number of candidates called for the next stage.
Stage 2 – Computer Skill Test / Trade Test: Shortlisted candidates may be called for a Computer Skill Test and/or Trade Test. This stage is qualifying in nature, and the marks will not be carried forward to the written test.
Stage 3 – Written Test: Candidates who clear Stage 2 will appear for a written test. The final merit list will be prepared solely on the basis of marks in this test.
IISER Kolkata Non Teaching Salary 2026
Selected candidates will get pay as per the 7th CPC Pay Matrix, along with allowances admissible to Central Government employees posted in Kolkata. They will be covered under the New Pension Scheme and will be eligible for benefits such as medical facilities and LTC as per Institute/GoI norms.
