Candidates must meet the MP High Court eligibility for qualification, age and other conditions by the last date of application, 27 October 2026. Applications that do not meet these conditions will be rejected at any stage.
MPHC Educational Qualification
All four posts need graduation, a CPCT scorecard and a one-year computer diploma; the shorthand speed and language differ by post.

The one-year computer diploma can be from a UGC-recognised university or open university, DOEACC/NIELIT, a Government Polytechnic (Modern Office Management) or a Government ITI (COPA). BE (CS/IT), MCA, BCA, M.Sc/B.Sc (IT/CS), M.Tech/ME and AICTE-approved polytechnic diplomas in CS/IT are also accepted. A B.Sc/B.Com with only one computer subject is not accepted.

The minimum age is 18 years and age is counted as on 1 January 2026.

Other Eligibility Conditions
- Must be a citizen of India.
- Must not have more than one living spouse.
- Must not have more than two children if any child was born on or after 26 January 2001.
- Must get a fitness certificate from the District Medical Board (within 30 days of appointment).

- Visit www.mphc.gov.in and click Recruitment/Result.
- Click Online Application Forms/Admit Cards and open this recruitment. You will see four links: Advertisement, Registration, Application and Edit Application.
- Read the Advertisement, then click Registration and fill in your details. Your User ID and password will be sent to your mobile number and email.
- Log in through Application, fill the form and upload your photo and signature.
- Preview the form and click Submit.
- Pay the fee by debit card or internet banking.
- Take a printout of the form and keep it safe for the next stages.

MP High Court Application Fee 2026
The MPHC application fee has two parts: an exam fee and a portal fee of Rs 743.40 that every candidate pays. Unreserved candidates and those from outside MP pay Rs 943.40 in total. The fee is not refundable or adjustable.

Candidates who qualify for the shorthand skill test must pay another Rs 743.40 portal fee online to appear in it; a link will be given on the High Court website.
MP High Court Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
The MPHC Stenographer and Assistant Grade-III selection has two stages. The preliminary exam is only for screening, and its marks do not count in the final result. The final merit list is made from the skill test marks.
- Stage 1: Online Preliminary Exam (100 marks) – candidates are shortlisted in a 1:5 ratio per post in each category.
- Stage 2: Hindi / English Shorthand Skill Test (100 marks) – Hindi for Stenographer posts, English for Assistant Grade-III.
- Document verification – candidates who qualify for the skill test send their application form and documents to the High Court.
The final result is prepared post by post: first Stenographer Grade-II, then Grade-III, then Court Manager Staff, then Assistant Grade-III. Districts are allotted through counselling based on merit. Selected candidates must sign a Rs 2 lakh bond to serve for at least 3 years.

- Dictation is given for 5 minutes, and transcription is typed on a computer in 30 minutes.
- Hindi transcription must be typed in Remington Gail layout.
- 0.5 mark is deducted for every mistake (wrong word, spelling, punctuation, missing word or spacing).
- More than 120 mistakes means zero marks.
- Writing the dictation in longhand means all marks are cut.
