50% Reservation for Bihar Veterinary College Graduates
As per GAD Resolution No. 12535 dated 17.09.2018, candidates who have graduated from veterinary colleges located within Bihar will get 50% horizontal reservation in all categories, reserved as well as unreserved.

BTSC Touring Veterinary Officer Reservation Rules 2026
Reservation benefits are available only to permanent residents (domicile) of Bihar. Candidates from other states will be treated as Unreserved, and the permanent address filled in the online form will be used for reservation purposes.
- SC/ST candidates must submit a Caste Certificate and a Permanent Residence/Domicile Certificate.
- BC/EBC candidates must submit a Non-Creamy Layer Certificate (for Bihar Government purposes) and a Domicile Certificate. A caste certificate alone will not be accepted.
- EWS candidates must submit an Income and Asset Certificate and a Domicile Certificate. The Income and Asset Certificate is valid for one year from its date of issue.
- Women candidates must have caste/non-creamy layer certificates issued in their father’s name and address.
- PwD candidates must submit a disability certificate from a duly constituted Medical Board in the prescribed format. Disability may be re-examined by a Medical Board at the Commission level. Candidates with 40% or more benchmark disability can opt for a scribe.
- Grandchildren of Freedom Fighters get 2% horizontal reservation and must submit a certificate signed by the District Magistrate of their home district in the prescribed format.
- Transgender candidates will get the reservation benefits available to Backward Classes.
The reservation category cannot be changed after registration.

The percentage scored in the CBT will be multiplied by 0.75. For example, a candidate scoring 60% in the CBT will get 60 × 0.75 = 45 marks out of 75.
BTSC Touring Veterinary Officer Experience Weightage
Candidates will get 5 marks for each year of contractual work, up to a maximum of 25 marks. For part of a year, marks will be calculated as (number of days worked × 5) ÷ 365. Weightage will be given for:
