ICG CGEPT Recruitment 2027: The Indian Coast Guard has released the Coast Guard Enrolled Personnel Test notification for Batches 01/2027 and 02/2027 for 365 Enrolled Personnel posts. The recruitment is being conducted through the Staff Selection Commission (SSC).

Only Indian citizens can apply for ICG CGEPT Vacancy. Education must be from a board recognised by COBSE (for 10th/12th) or AICTE (for diploma); Open School certificates not recognised by AICTE/COBSE are not accepted.

ICG CGEPT Selection Process 2027

Selection of ICG CGEPT is based on performance in four stages, medical standards and available vacancies. All stages are mandatory, and candidates’ identity is checked at every stage through photo, live image and left-thumb biometrics.

  • Stage-I: Computer Based Examination (CBE)
  • Stage-II: Document verification, Physical Fitness Test (PFT), Assessment & Adaptability Test and Recruitment Medical at ICG Recruitment Centres
  • Stage-III: Document verification and pre-enrolment medical at INS Chilka
  • Stage-IV: Verification of original documents with the issuing boards and universities

All four tests are done in a row without a break, and a break in any test means failure in the PFT. The Assessment & Adaptability Test is qualifying only.

If two candidates have equal Stage-I marks, the older candidate ranks higher, then the one with higher assessment test marks.

ICG CGEPT Medical Standards

Medical examination is done by Defence Medical Officers as per standards for Enrolled Persons. Key requirements:

Candidates using glasses are not eligible for the GD branch. Persons with any kind of disability are not eligible, and pregnant female candidates are disqualified.

ICG CGEPT Salary 2027

Yantrik gets the highest pay at Level 5 plus a Yantrik pay of Rs 6,200, while Navik and Hygienist-I posts start at Level 3. Dearness Allowance and other allowances are paid on top, based on duty and place of posting.

How to Apply for ICG CGEPT Recruitment 2027?

Applications are accepted only online at ssc.gov.in from 6 to 21 October 2026. A candidate can apply for only one post; if multiple forms are filled, only the last one is kept.

  1. Go to ssc.gov.in and register (use your Aadhaar card as the first ID proof option, if you have one).
  2. Note your registered email ID and mobile number; they are shown encrypted later and cannot be recovered.
  3. Log in and fill the CGEPT application form, including subject-wise marks from your marksheet.
  4. Upload your photo (not older than 3 months), signature and documents; a live photo is also captured.
  5. Choose your Stage-I exam city preferences.
  6. Pay the Rs 550 fee online (SC/ST exempt).
  7. Check the print preview carefully and submit. Keep a printout of the form.

An edit window of 2–3 days will be given after registration to correct a few fields.
