Educational Qualification for Andaman and Nicobar Agriculture Recruitment 2026
Agriculture Officer: Master’s degree in Agriculture or Horticulture from a recognised university. Two years of experience in farm management, agricultural extension, plant protection, agricultural marketing or plantation development is desirable.
Agriculture Engineering Assistant: Degree in Agricultural Engineering from a recognised university, plus training in soil and water conservation work from a recognised institute. Two years of experience in minor irrigation or farm mechanisation is desirable.
Agriculture Assistant: Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or Horticulture from a recognised university. Two years of experience in farm management and agricultural extension, along with the ability to read and write Hindi, is desirable.

Selection Process
Selection under the Andaman and Nicobar Agriculture Recruitment 2026 is based entirely on marks in the CBT. Shortlisted candidates are then called for document verification in person. Important Note on Reservation
Only local Scheduled Tribe and OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands can claim ST or OBC reservation in the Andaman and Nicobar Agriculture Recruitment 2026. ST and OBC candidates from outside the UT will be considered only against unreserved posts. The OBC-NCL certificate must not be more than two years old as of the closing date.
