CGSSB Group 2 Sub Group 2 Eligibility
Candidates need either a graduation degree with a one-year computer diploma from a recognised institute, or 12th pass with a Modern Office Management (MOM) diploma from a polytechnic recognised by Chhattisgarh. In addition, the post-wise skill requirements are:

Physical Standards (Home and Police Department Posts)
- Sub Inspector (Shorthand) and ASI posts: Minimum height 153 cm for UR / SC / OBC men and women. For ST candidates, 153 cm for men and 151 cm for women. Eyesight of 6/9 and 6/12 without glasses, and no colour blindness.
- Home Guard, Fire and Emergency Services and SDRF posts (Shorthand, DEO, Assistant Grade 3): Minimum height 162 cm for men and 152 cm for women, with no disability, knock knees, flat feet or eye disease.
- These candidates will have a second-stage physical measurement test conducted by the department.
CGSSB Group 2 Sub Group 2 Age Limit
- Age will be counted as on 1 January 2026.
- The minimum age is 21 years, as per the GAD order dated 12 October 2026.
- Upper age relaxation will be given as per the GAD circular dated 3 August 2024 (Annexure A). For Home (Police) Department posts, the rules in the notification dated 10 September 2026 (Annexure B) apply.
- Serving government employees, corporation / board staff, contract staff and Nagar Sainik staff of Chhattisgarh can apply up to 45 years (this does not apply to Home Police posts).
- With all relaxations combined, no candidate can be older than 45 years.

The fee is paid online. As per state rules, the exam fee will be refunded to native residents of Chhattisgarh who appear in the exam, to the same bank account used for payment.
CGSSB Group 2 Sub Group 2 Exam Pattern
- The written exam will be in MCQ format, from 10:00 AM to 12:15 PM.
- Each correct answer carries 1 mark, and 1/4 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
- If a question is cancelled, all candidates will get bonus marks for it.
- Minimum qualifying marks: 33% for Unreserved and 23% for reserved category and PwD candidates.

CGSSB Group 2 Sub Group 2 Selection Process
- Written exam: Model answers will be published and objections invited.
- Physical measurement test (only for 7 Home / Police posts): 15 times the vacancies will be included in "List-A" and sent to the department. The test is qualifying and must be completed within 30 days.
- Final allotment ("List-B"): Based on written marks, post preference order, physical test eligibility and reservation rules. District / division cadre posts will be allotted through counselling.
- Document upload and verification: Selected candidates must upload documents with Aadhaar authentication within 15 days, followed by physical verification by the department.
In a tie, the older candidate gets preference. No waiting list will be issued, and List-B is valid for 6 months.
Can West Bengal Candidates Apply for CGSSB Group 2?
Candidates from other states may apply for unreserved posts if they meet the conditions, but reservation, fee refund and most age relaxations are only for native residents of Chhattisgarh. The skill certificates (typing, shorthand and MOM diploma) must also be from recognised Chhattisgarh bodies in many cases.
