The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have released the detailed RRB NTPC Graduate notification (CEN No. 06/2026) for 3,548 vacancies in Non-Technical Popular Categories. The online application opened on October 8, 2026, and the last date to apply is November 6, 2026 (11:59 PM).

The posts on offer are Chief Commercial cum Ticket Supervisor, Goods Train Manager, Junior Accounts Assistant cum Typist and Senior Clerk cum Typist. Any graduate between 18 and 33 years of age can apply. Goods Train Manager has the most posts, at 2,750 out of 3,548. Salary is as per the 7th Pay Commission, plus DA, HRA and other allowances.

RRB NTPC Graduate 2026 RRB-wise Vacancy

You can apply to only one RRB, so check the vacancy count for your region before choosing. RRB Bilaspur has the most posts (542), followed by Ranchi (377) and Bengaluru (346).

RRB NTPC Graduate 2026 Category-wise Vacancy

Of these, 351 posts are reserved for Ex-Servicemen (horizontal reservation). The PwBD reservation is 25 for visually impaired (VI), 18 for locomotor disability (LD), 16 for hearing impaired (HI) and 6 for multiple disabilities (MD).

RRB NTPC Graduate 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Educational qualification

• A degree from a recognised university or its equivalent, for all four posts.
• You must have the degree on or before November 6, 2026, the last date to apply.
• Candidates waiting for their final-year results cannot apply.

Nationality

You must be a citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or a person of Indian origin who migrated from certain countries to settle in India. Candidates in the last three groups need a certificate of eligibility from the Government of India.

RRB NTPC Graduate 2026 Age Limit

The age limit is 18 to 33 years as on January 1, 2027. Your date of birth must fall in these ranges (both dates included):

Age relaxation

If you qualify for more than one relaxation, you get only the highest one. They do not add up.

RRB NTPC Graduate 2026 Application Fee

• Pay online only, through net banking, debit card, credit card or UPI.
• The refund, minus bank charges, goes to your Aadhaar-linked bank account. You can also give a family member's Aadhaar-seeded account.
• Only candidates who actually appear in CBT 1 get a refund.

RRB NTPC Graduate 2026 Medical Standards

Check the medical standard of the posts you choose. If you fail it, you will not be given any other post.

Candidates who have had Lasik or any other eye surgery to correct vision are not eligible for A2 posts (Goods Train Manager). They can apply for B2 and C2 posts, subject to conditions.

RRB NTPC Graduate 2026 Selection Process

1. CBT 1: a screening test common to all posts.
2. CBT 2: 15 times the community-wise vacancies of each RRB are shortlisted from CBT 1.
3. Document Verification: candidates equal to the number of vacancies (1:1) are called, based on CBT 2 merit.
4. Medical Examination.

Marks are normalised when a CBT is held in multiple shifts. If two candidates tie, the older candidate ranks higher. If the age is also the same, the given name in alphabetical order decides.

RRB NTPC Graduate 2026 Minimum Qualifying Marks

These apply to both CBTs. Ex-Servicemen and PwBD candidates follow the marks for their community. PwBD candidates may get a 2-mark relaxation if there are not enough of them for the reserved posts.

How to Apply for RRB NTPC Graduate 2026

1. Go to rrbapply.gov.in.
2. Create an Account with your own mobile number and email ID. If you made an account for an earlier RRB CEN (2024, 2025 or 2026), log in with the same details.
3. Verify your identity with Aadhaar or DigiLocker. This is strongly advised, because other IDs get much stricter checks.
4. Choose one RRB, then give your order of preference for posts and zones.
5. Pick your exam language: English, Hindi or one of 13 regional languages, including Bengali.
6. Capture a live photo with a webcam or the phone's front camera. Use a plain white background and wear dark, non-white clothes.
7. Upload your signature: JPG/JPEG, 30–49 KB, in black ink on white paper, in running handwriting (not capital letters).
8. Upload the SC/ST certificate as a PDF if you want the free train travel pass.
9. Link your Aadhaar-seeded bank account for the fee refund.
10. Pay the fee online by November 8, 2026, and save the confirmation.

Preparation Tips for RRB NTPC Graduate 2026

• Focus on General Awareness: it carries 40% of CBT 1 and over 40% of CBT 2. Read current affairs daily and revise static GK.
• Practise without a calculator: calculators are not allowed, so build speed in mental maths.
• Avoid blind guessing: every wrong answer costs 1/3 mark.
• Take full mocks: RRB will put official mock tests on its website, so use them to get used to the CBT format.
• Choose your RRB carefully: transfers to another railway are usually not allowed for the first 5 to 10 years of service.
• Check your eyesight: if you wear glasses or have had Lasik, do not choose Goods Train Manager.
