The stipend is the minimum rate under Rule 11 of the Apprenticeship Rules, 1992. Limited hostel accommodation (boys only) is available at Karwar on a first come, first served basis for outstation candidates. No hostel is available at Naval Aircraft Yard (Goa).
Naval Dockyard Karwar Apprentice Selection Process
- Preliminary merit list: prepared trade-wise and category-wise. For ITI trades, it is based on the aggregate percentage of ITI and Class 10 marks. For non-ITI trades, it is based on Class 8 (Rigger) or Class 10 marks.
- Written examination: candidates are called in the ratio of 1:20 for each vacancy in every trade and category. For example, for 6 UR Electrician vacancies, up to 120 top candidates are called.
