Age Limit (As on July 1, 2026)
- Candidates must not have attained the age of 62 years as of July 1, 2026.
- Date of birth recorded in the High School or equivalent certificate will be considered final.
Educational Qualification
Pathway A (For General Candidates):
(i) A Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in the concerned subject from a recognized Indian/Foreign University.
(ii) Must have qualified the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC/CSIR, or equivalent test like SLET/SET. OR Candidates who have been awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with the UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil/Ph.D.) Regulations, 2009 or 2016, and subsequent amendments, shall be exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET, subject to fulfilling the following conditions:
