SAV Bihar Class 6 Admission 2027-28: The Bihar Vidyalaya Pariksha Samiti (BVPS) has officially released its notification (Vigyapti Sankhya PR…/2026) for the Simultala Awasiya Vidyalaya (SAV), Simultala, Jamui, Class-VI (Session 2027-28) Entrance Examination, 2027. The notification has been issued for eligible students, students’ parents, all District Education Officers and all Block Education Officers of Bihar. Online applications and examination fee shall be accepted from 3rd August 2026 to 18th August 2026.

Simultala Awasiya Vidyalaya, Simultala, Jamui (English Medium), is a residential school established by the Government of Bihar. Eligible candidates who are original residents of Bihar and currently studying in Class V can apply for admission to Class VI for the 2027-28 academic session. Applications are invited only through the online mode. Candidates and parents are advised to carefully check the eligibility criteria, age limit and category-wise seat distribution before applying.

SAV Bihar Class 6 Pre Online Application Fee

Candidates must pay the applicable fee online as per their category at the time of application submission.

Age Limit and Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must satisfy the age limit and academic eligibility criteria given below to apply for admission to Class VI.

Age Limit: The applicant’s age must be a minimum of 10 years and a maximum of 12 years, as on 1st April 2027.

Academic Eligibility: The applicant must be a permanent resident of Bihar and currently studying in Class V (fifth) in a Bihar government-recognized government/private school (recognized under the RTE Act) or a school affiliated with the CBSE/ICSE Board.

Divyang (PWD) Reservation: As per instructions issued from time to time by the General Administration Department, Government of Bihar, Patna, candidates under the Divyang (Differently Abled) category are given the benefit of 5% horizontal reservation. The level of disability should not be less than 40%.

Category-wise Seat Distribution

Reservation is provided as per the Bihar (Reservation in Admission in Educational Institutions) Act, 2003 (Bihar Act 16, 2003) and the Reservation in Admission in Educational Institutions for Economically Weaker Sections Act, 2019, notified vide notification No. 11/AoNo-I-03/2019-2622 dated 26.02.2019.

SAV Bihar Class 6 Selection Process

Selection for admission to Class VI is conducted through a two-stage examination process, followed by a medical examination and document verification.

Stage 1: Preliminary Entrance Examination

• The preliminary entrance exam will be purely objective (multiple choice) in nature.
• Total 150 questions carrying 150 marks, with 1 mark for each question.
• No marks will be deducted for a wrong answer (no negative marking).
• Duration of the exam: 2 hours 30 minutes.
• Only candidates selected in the preliminary entrance exam will be eligible to sit for the main entrance exam.

Stage 2: Main Entrance Examination

• The main entrance exam will be conducted in two shifts (Paper-I and Paper-II).
• The level of questions asked in both the preliminary and main exams will be based on the syllabus prescribed by the Government of Bihar for Class V.

Paper-I (First Shift): 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM

Paper-II (Second Shift): 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM

Grand Total for Main Entrance Examination: 300 marks.

SAV Bihar Class 6 Pre Online Examination Centres

The preliminary entrance exam will be held at designated centres in every district headquarters of the state. If the number of candidates in a district is less than 50, candidates from that district will be allotted a centre in the nearest district headquarters. The main entrance exam will be held only at examination centres in Patna district headquarters.

Minimum Qualifying Marks

Candidates must secure the following minimum qualifying marks in both the preliminary and main entrance exams, as per General Administration Department, Bihar resolutions dated 16.07.2007 and 22.01.2021:

Selection to Main Exam and Tie-Breaking Rules

Based on the preliminary exam result, a category-wise merit list will be prepared, and candidates will be selected for the main entrance exam at 10 times the number of category-wise/gender-wise vacant seats. In case of a tie in marks in the main entrance exam merit list, older candidates will be given preference. If age is also the same, candidates scoring higher marks in Paper-I of the main exam will be preferred. If marks and date of birth are also identical, selection will be made through a lottery.

Medical Examination and Document Verification

Candidates who qualify the main entrance exam will need to appear before a Medical Board for a health check-up before admission, in order of the category-wise merit list; admission will be confirmed only after clearing this examination. At the time of admission, qualified candidates must produce, in original and photocopy: Caste Certificate (for reserved category claimants), Residence Certificate, Date of Birth Certificate, Disability Certificate (for Divyang category claimants), School Leaving Certificate, a copy of the Bank Account passbook, and the parents’ Income Certificate. Admission claims shall be rejected if these documents are not produced.

2. Click on “Register New Candidate” on the Home Page.
3. Login using your registered credentials.
4. Fill the Application Form with the candidate’s accurate details — name, father’s name, date of birth, category, etc. (Entry of APAAR ID and PEN — Permanent Education Number — is optional, not mandatory.)
5. Upload Photo & Signature as per the specifications given below.
6. Save & Preview the Application Form to check all details are correct.
7. Go to “Edit or Make Payment” — correct any errors if needed, or proceed to fee payment.
8. Click Submit, then click the Fee Payment button and pay the applicable fee via Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking/UPI QR Code.
