SSC CPO 2026 Selection Process

The selection process comprises four mandatory stages:

  1. Paper-I: Computer Based Examination (Objective Type).
  2. Physical Standard Test (PST) / Physical Endurance Test (PET): Qualifying in nature.
  3. Paper-II: Computer Based Examination (Objective Type).
  4. Detailed Medical Examination (DME): Qualifying in nature.

SSC CPO 2026 Important Points

  • Candidates selected for SI in CAPFs (and SI-GD/Fire posts) carry All India Service Liability (AISL) and may be posted anywhere in India.
  • Only one online application is allowed per candidate; multiple applications will lead to cancellation of candidature.
  • Post/Force preference, once submitted through the Online Option Form after Paper-II result, is final and irreversible.
  • Male candidates for Delhi Police SI without a valid LMV driving licence are eligible only for SI in CAPFs.
  • Aadhaar-Based Authentication is recommended; candidates who opt for it are exempted from certain photo/signature and Photo-ID requirements at the exam venue.
  • Tattoos are permitted only on the left forearm or dorsum of hands, within specified size limits, and only religious symbols/figures or names as followed in the Indian Army.
