Can West Bengal Candidates Apply for HPRCA PGT 2026?
In practice, most candidates from West Bengal will not be eligible. The advertisement says a candidate is eligible for appointment only if he or she has passed Matriculation and 10+2 from a school or institution in Himachal Pradesh. This condition does not apply to Bonafide Himachalis. Also, reserved category candidates from other states are treated as General (UR) and get no reservation or fee concession. So, unless you passed Class 10 and 12 in Himachal Pradesh or are a Bonafide Himachali, you should not apply. Teachers from West Bengal can instead look at the all-India AEES Teacher recruitment 2026 and the WBPSC Clerkship recruitment 2026.
