AEES Skill Test and CBT Qualifying Marks
After the CBT, AEES prepares a merit list post-wise and category-wise. The rules for the next stage are:
- Minimum CBT score for shortlisting: 60% for UR/EWS vacancies and 54% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD vacancies.
- If enough candidates do not qualify, AEES may lower the cut-off, but not below 55% for UR/EWS and 49% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD vacancies.
- The skill test for PGT, TGT, Librarian, PRT, PRT (Music) and Balvatika Teacher is a chalk-and-board teaching test on a subject topic. It is qualifying, on a Go / No Go basis.
- Teachers marked Go are empanelled in order of CBT marks; a No Go result means no selection, whatever the CBT score.
- Principal and Vice-Principal: final merit is CBT and interview in a 50:50 ratio.
How to Prepare for the AEES Teacher Exam 2026
- Download your post's syllabus PDF and mark the units you are weak in; the subject section alone carries 75 of the 120 marks.
- For PGT, revise Class 11 and 12 NCERT books; for TGT, focus on Class 9 and 10 level topics given in the PDF.
