RRB Station Master Syllabus 2026: From 2026, the Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) will recruit Station Masters through a separate CEN (Centralised Employment Notification) with a new syllabus. 3. Mental Reasoning (20 Marks)

  • Analogy: find the link between two items and apply it to another pair
  • Series Completion: spot the pattern in a number series and find the next term

RRB Station Master Selection Process 2026

  1. Single Stage CBT: a 100-mark objective test. Your rank decides whether you reach the CBAT.
  2. CBAT: candidates up to 8 times the vacancies (RRB-wise) are called from the CBT merit list. You must pass the CBAT.
  3. Document Verification: candidates are called in a 1:1 ratio to vacancies for each RRB, based on combined merit.
  4. Medical Examination: you must meet the A-2 medical standard.

RRB Station Master Syllabus 2026 Preparation Tips

  • Start with the 60-mark block. Maths, basic physics and data interpretation make up 60% of the paper.
  • Revise school physics. Topics like friction, levers, heat and basic electricity are at school level. Cover them from NCERT books.
  • Practise data interpretation daily. Solve one set of charts, pie charts or tables every day.
  • Read English passages. Reading comprehension is new for many railway aspirants, so read an English editorial every day.
  • Take full 120-minute mocks. The CBT score carries 70% of the final merit.
