Desirable (Driver / Driver-cum-Conductor): knowledge of how vehicles work and the ability to find and fix small faults.

Physical Standards

• You must be healthy enough, with good enough eyesight, to work up to 10 hours as allowed under the MV Act. Certificates must come from an eye specialist not below the rank of Civil Surgeon.
• Conductor and Driver-cum-Conductor candidates must be able to read and write Malayalam and English, and do simple adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing.
• Selected candidates must submit a Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) from their local police station within 10 days.
• People who were dismissed from KSRTC SWIFT, or who left their contract without permission, should not apply.
• This job gives no right to claim a permanent post in KSRTC, KSRTC SWIFT or any government body.

• Service bond: After training, you must serve KSRTC SWIFT for 2 years, with at least 240 duties a year.
• KSRTC staff on deputation get their salary from KSRTC and only incentives, allowances and bata from SWIFT.

KSRTC SWIFT Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

1. Applications are checked and a shortlist is prepared.
2. Shortlisted candidates take the tests for their post (see table).
3. A rank list is published, and candidates are appointed temporarily in rank order as vacancies arise.
