Eligibility Criteria for SECR Bilaspur Apprentice 2026
Educational Qualification
Candidates must meet both of the following conditions:
- Must have passed the 10th class examination under the 10+2 system or its equivalent.
- Must have passed the ITI course in the relevant trade from a recognised institution.

Period of Apprenticeship and Stipend
Selected candidates will be engaged as Act Apprentices for a period of 1 year for each trade. During the training period, they will be paid a stipend as per the rules of the State Government of Chhattisgarh. Training will be terminated automatically after completion of the apprenticeship period.
Important: Completion of apprenticeship training does NOT guarantee any employment offer by the Railway. It is also not mandatory for the apprentice to accept employment if offered by the employer.

Merit List Preparation – Selection Criteria
There is no written examination for this recruitment. Selection is purely merit-based.
The merit list is prepared by taking the average of the percentage marks obtained by candidates in both Matriculation (10th) and ITI examinations, giving equal weightage to both, with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Matriculation as per Establishment Rule 201/2017.
