Objectives of Delhi Lakshmi Yojana 2026

Who is Eligible for Delhi Lakshmi Yojana 2026?
To avail the benefits of the scheme, applicants must fulfil the following eligibility criteria:
- The applicant’s age must be between 21 and 60 years as on the date of submission of application
- The applicant should be the eldest eligible woman member of the family as per the scheme’s eligibility criteria
- The applicant, or her husband, or either of her parents, must have been a resident of Delhi for a minimum period of 10 years as on the date of application
- The applicant must be a registered voter of Delhi
- The applicant must belong to a family unit with an annual income not exceeding ₹2,50,000
Exclusion Criteria – Who is NOT Eligible
A woman falling under any of the following categories shall be ineligible for the scheme:
- Is receiving any pension from the Central or State Government
- Is an income tax payee or a GST filer
- Has been a Government servant and/or is holding a public office
- Has more than three (3) living children
- Belongs to a family whose annual electricity consumption exceeds 2,400 units
- Herself, or a family member, is employed as a regular/contractual employee in a State/Central Government body, PSU, Board, Local Body, or any Government organization, or is receiving a pension (retirement, widow, disability, or any other) or similar financial assistance from the Government
- Owns a four-wheeler motor vehicle
- Has a criminal record/antecedents

Pattern and Mode of Financial Assistance
Applicants can choose between two options for receiving the monthly benefit:
Option 1 (Default):
- ₹1,500/month credited to the beneficiary’s RD/FD account (lock-in period till 31.07.2029)
- ₹1,000/month remitted through a CBDC Wallet linked to her bank account
Option 2 (Alternative — selected by the applicant):
- ₹2,500/month credited entirely as RD/FD through the selected banking partner (lock-in period till 31.07.2029)
Additional points:
- The matured RD/FD amount after three years will also be credited to the CBDC wallet only
- The RD/FD maturity date may be revised by the Council of Ministers after review, two years post-launch
- The beneficiary’s bank account must be with a Nationalized Bank compatible with the CBDC wallet facility; if unavailable, the partner bank will open one
CBDC Wallet Spending Restrictions
The CBDC wallet will be configured with spending restrictions, preventing the purchase of items on a Negative List, including:
- Alcoholic beverages
- Tobacco products
- Narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances
- Lottery tickets
- Gambling and betting services
- Any other goods/services prohibited by the Government from time to time

Responsibilities of Beneficiaries
Applicants must furnish accurate information and fulfil the following conditions:
- Provide Aadhaar and Voter ID details of all family members above 18 years of age
- Ensure all school-going children are enrolled in a government/recognized private/aided school, and provide APAAR ID for children aged 3–18 years
- Provide Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) ID for family members; all children must be vaccinated as per the government schedule, including the HPV vaccine (for girls above 14 years)
- Register any pregnant or lactating mother in the family on the POSHAN Tracker
- Take an online pledge for social causes such as ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’, ‘Swachh Bharat’, or ‘No to Single-Use Plastics’
- (Desirable) Register in a Self-Help Group (SHG) in Delhi and undergo skill training in a preferred sector
Applicants also provide consent for the use of their personal data (including Aadhaar) by scheme authorities for monitoring, evaluation, and sharing with banking partners/stakeholders. Any overpayment due to administrative error must be repaid voluntarily or upon notification.

The Delhi Lakshmi Yojana Portal will serve as the designated online portal for submitting applications.
Registration Process
- Visit the Delhi Lakshmi Yojana online portal.
- Register by furnishing prescribed documents, a self-declaration, and the application form along with basic and demographic details.
- Download the QR-coded form pre-filled with your details.
- Get the downloaded form recommended, signed, and stamped by the area MP/MLA.
- Upload the signed and stamped form on the portal and submit it.
- Download the acknowledgment slip.
Application Processing & Approval
- Applications are automatically routed to the concerned District Office of DWCD based on jurisdiction
- The District Project Management Unit (DPMU), under the District WCD Officer, scrutinizes and verifies applications
- Verified and recommended applications are forwarded to the District Level Approval, Monitoring and Grievance Redressal Committee (DLAMGRC) for approval
- Once approved, the State Programme Management Unit (SPMU) at headquarters collates applications and processes bills through the Pay and Accounts Office (PAO) for fund release to the banking partner
- SMS alerts/notifications are sent to applicants at various stages of application processing
