The selection of candidates for the Assistant Staff Nurse post will be based on the following:
- Mode of Selection: Computer Based Test (CBT)/Written Screening Test of 120 marks, of 1½ hours duration (or as decided by the Aayog), consisting of 120 multiple-choice questions carrying 1 mark each
- Syllabus: Subjects up to the level of the prescribed essential qualification; General Knowledge including General Knowledge of Himachal Pradesh and Current Affairs; Everyday Science, Logical Reasoning, Social Science, General English & General Hindi of Matric standard
- Minimum Qualifying Marks: 45% for General category candidates and 40% for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Other Backward Classes/Ward of Freedom Fighters candidates (relaxable by up to 5% in case of insufficient qualified candidates)
- Normalization: Scores in multi-shift CBT exams will be normalized using the Z-Score Method
