What Is FRTA in SSC CGL 2025?
The First Round of Tentative Allocation (FRTA) is the provisional post-allocation stage where candidates are assigned to posts based on:
- Their merit in Tier-II (Paper-I: Section I + Section II)
- Their preferences submitted online
- Qualifying in Section-III (CKT) and Section-IV (DEST) wherever applicable
For Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) and Statistical Investigator Grade-II (SI), the allocation is based on Paper-I (Section I + II) + Paper-II combined marks.

SSC CGL 2025 Sliding Mechanism – Important Dates
The Commission has introduced a Sliding Mechanism to fill unutilized vacancies and minimize absenteeism. Here is the schedule:

Important: Candidates failing to attend the sliding process physically will be treated as absent and will NOT be considered in the final result. All allocated candidates must visit ssc.gov.in to choose their venue, date, and slot.
Tie-Breaking Rules – SSC CGL 2025
In case two or more candidates score equal marks in Tier-II, the tie is resolved in the following order:
- Marks in Paper-II (for JSO/SI posts)
- Marks in Section-I of Paper-I, Tier-II
- Date of Birth – older candidate gets priority
- Alphabetical order of names
Withheld & Rejected Candidates
- 8 candidates who were rejected/debarred appeared in Tier-II; their results have not been processed.
- Results of 107 candidates have been kept withheld due to various reasons.
- Allocations are also subject to the final outcome of WP (C) No. 1733/2026 pending before the Hon'ble High Court of Delhi.

- Highest cut off post (UR): Assistant Enforcement Officer (B05) – 362.00 marks, with Section-I at 180 out of 200.
- Competitive Group B posts: ASO in MEA (B09) and Inspector of Income Tax (B15) have very high Section-I cut offs, indicating these are top-preference posts.
- Largest number of vacancies: Office Superintendent in CBDT (B33) with 8,734 total seats across all categories.
- JSO (C37) is the most competitive post overall, with a UR cut off of 396.00 out of a possible combined Tier-II score.
