Candidates must be between 15 to 24 years of age as on the last date of receipt of application.

MTPF Apprentice Educational Qualification

Stipend
The minimum monthly stipend payable to Trade Apprentices, as per AVNL Letter No. AVNL/CO/HR/12/T&D/2025-26 dated 30/04/2025, is as follows:

MTPF Apprentice Mode of Selection
Selection will be made purely on the basis of merit, with separate merit lists prepared for Non-ITI and Ex-ITI categories:
- Non-ITI Category: A common merit list will be prepared based on the overall percentage of marks obtained in Madhyamik/Matriculation (Class X or equivalent), across all subjects, irrespective of board. Trades will be allotted on a merit-cum-choice basis.
- Ex-ITI Category: A trade-wise merit list will be prepared based on the simple average percentage of marks in both Matriculation and ITI (minimum 50% aggregate in each).
- Tie-Breaking: In case of a tie, candidates with older age will be preferred; if the date of birth is also the same, the candidate who passed Matriculation earlier will be considered, followed by alphabetical order of name.

- SSC (Matriculation/10th Standard) mark sheet or equivalent

- National Trade Certificate issued by NCVT/SCVT (for ITI candidates)
- Caste certificate for SC/ST/OBC candidates (Non-Creamy Layer certificate for OBC, issued within the last three years)
- Physical Disability certificate for PH/PWD candidates
- EWS certificate issued by Tehsildar/District Magistrate (for EWS candidates)
