DTU Assistant Professor Screening Score (Table-II)

DTU will first screen applications on a 100-point score, auto-calculated from the details you fill in. The score formula is given below.

CriteriaMaximum score
Ph.D.30
Pre-Ph.D. degree (M.Tech. / B.Tech. / M.Sc. / MBA / MA / M.Des. etc., at least 2 years): score = 35 + 0.5 × (X − 50), where X is your percentage60

Total100

Example: a candidate with a Ph.D., 80% in M.Tech. and GATE gets 30 + [35 + 0.5 × (80 − 50)] + 10 = 30 + 50 + 10 = 90. If no conversion rule is given on the degree, percentage = 10 × CGPA.

  • A consideration zone of up to 1.2 times the candidates to be shortlisted will be published first.
  • Up to (4 + 8X) candidates will be provisionally shortlisted, where X is the number of posts in that discipline and category. For example, for 1 post, 12 candidates; for 2 posts, 20 candidates.
