Recently, in a media interview, the new West Bengal Minister of Panchayat and Rural Development, Dilip Ghosh, made an important statement regarding this matter.
Dilip Ghosh stated that there is currently a shortage of staff in various Panchayats across the state, which is creating difficulties in carrying out administrative work. Keeping this situation in mind, steps will be taken very soon to recruit new staff. He further mentioned that the matter will be discussed with Chief Minister Shubhendu Adhikari, and the recruitment process will be initiated with the aim of strengthening the Gram Panchayat system of rural Bengal.
According to media sources, it is expected that recruitment may take place for more than 6,500 vacancies. However, no official notification has been published by the state government as of yet.
